Fidelity Security guard - Drunk & ***********
COMPLAINT - FIDELITY SECURITY GAURD
TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN:
FNB JOUBERT STREET ERMELO
This morning I visit the FNB branch based in Ermelo. There was no security on his post. A guy came up behind me start tapping on screen (this is not a touch screen ATM) and took in a matter of a slit second my card from my hand and I got a notification that an amount of R 3 000 was withdrawn by cash, later the so called security arrived with his groceries and reeking of alcohol. Was he on duty as he gets paid for, this would not have happened. I was woman alone with my 11 year old daughter.
When I questioned the guard why he was not there he got arrogant with me.
We phoned the owner/manager of Ermelo fidelity group and now they have to investigate. Investigate the fact that the person that was supposed to be on the job, was not there, yet gets paid and reeked of alcohol?
The car gaurd mentioned to me that the same thing happened on Friday as well and yet nothing has been done. What is the use of the so called security gaurd at the FNB Joubert street branch?
Ths is a true disgrace! ERMELO FNB and FIDELITY SECURITY. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

RE: COMPLAINT MR.THINUS JANSE VAN VUUREN
Sunday, 28 May 2023 at 09:45 I visited the 20 Joubert FNB Ermelo Branch. I was ****** from R 3 000 due to the fact that the security gaurd was not on duty. A few minutes later the security arrived with Shoprite parcels. He reeked of alcohol.
I went to see the FNB manager (Monday 29 May) and he advised me that the security guard are supposed to be on duty at all times and as the FNB manager went through the camera footage, He confirmed that the security guard was not on his post and the same insident happened to another lady just prior to my incident.
We phoned Mr. Thinus Janse van Rensburg on Sunday to make him aware of the incident. Whoever he did not bring this under FNB's attention. The manager was not even aware of the incident until we went to see him this morning (29 May 2023).
Due to the fact that the security gaurd was not on the premises as he was supposed to be, myself and another lady got ******.
I spoke to Mr. Thinus Janse van Rensburg this morning again and he advise me that I need to put in a claim against FNB. This is not FNB's fault. Fidelity has the obligation towards their clients (FNB specifically seeing that they are being paid for security 24hrs a day). To provide the sevice they are paid for.
This was fidelity/ADT was at fault here.
Mr Thinus told me that the security guards are allowed to go and do their shopping whilst on duty. The security gaurd also did not have his phone with him as it was on charge at home affairs. How would he have called for backup or help when he doesn't have his phone with him.
Mr. Thinus Janse van Rensburg was very unprofessional as he tried to justify the insident and started talking about irrelevant information.
According to the information provided to me, because Fidelity's gaurd was not on site as fidelity is paid for the service. They need to refund me.
It was month end and yet no security gaurd at the FNB building.
According to my knowledge the only time a gaurd is allowed to leave his site is when he is assisted by another gaurd.
I received a reply from Fedility group that they will be in contact with me, however I have not received any feedback from them.
