Fidelity centurion mall a total fail
Good day On the 08th September at Centurion Mall about 15h00 I was walking towards exit 4 and waited at King Pie and moved a bit when a black male grabbed my phone and ran. I tried to chase him, but he entered a white car. I ran after the vehicle and was assisted by police, but we couldn't trace the car. I went to the fidelity security guards putside who advised us that they didnt have a radio and there was no camera on that exit. They also advised that this was a norm and no cameras were there on looking the street exit. Besides the fact that the security officer stationed at exit 4 didn't have a radio he didn't report my incident to control. I went to the control room of the mall to ask for assistance, the lady who was on duty said no incident was viewed on camera or reported on radio by any security official. The lady there failed to assist I asked for her name as per PSIRA requirements that an officer must be properly named but she refused and said I should say a female officer assisted me. It's so convenient that Centurion Mall has become a crime hot spot, and no security measures are in place to assist shoppers. Not only is this sad and disheartening but also poses our lives at risk. Fedility could have done something because I strongly believe that the perpetrators went inside the mall using a different entrance.
