Fidelity Adt worst security company to deal with

I hope the red star is a negative rating, which conforms with my experiences with Fidelity Adt.

When Fidelity ADT increased their rates the second time in a year at the end of last year, that was it for me - especially as the last time I needed them to assist me, I had to call their emergency number and it still took half an hour for them to arrive.

Long story short, I cancelled in writing on 4th January and paid a full month in January as my notice month. They then tried to charge me for February as well, but I had put a stop on the stop order. They are now harassing me, threatening legal action if I don't pay for February as I "only cancelled on 4th Jan, so Feb is my notice month". Their equipment was not connected anymore in February, and I am yet to get hold of the person dealing with my account. He is just never available, but happy to send threatening SMS's. Their debt collectors also started contacting me in February, and they at least could be reached telephonically. They agreed that this matter should be closed and did so, only to have it reopened by Fidelity. And the harassment continues.

Considering that I was a customer for over 10 years and never missed a payment, this leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. Especially as Fidelity ADT were rarely seen in my street and most certainly did not fulfil their side of our agreement.

This is a real case of buyer beware. Everything is fine while they can take your money without delivering a service, but if you should decide that you have had enough, they turn into the nasty persons they were supposed to protect us from.
