Fidelity ADT the worst security company to deal with

This review is a follow-up to my last review of 6 April 23, which stated that Fidelity ADT were harassing me for payment of another so-called notice month after I cancelled my contract on 4 January and paid for the whole of January as the notice month.

Fidelity responded to my posting by saying their social media manager would contact me and, lo and behold, I was contacted by a lady identifying herself as Fidelity ADT's social media manager about two hours later. She listened to my story and agreed that I had been treated unfairly, and promised that the matter would be resolved that same day - 2 days later at the most. While I received nothing in writing, the threatening sms's from them and their debt collectors, LGR Attorneys, eased off for a week and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Too soon!!!! Since then, the harassment has intensified, and now Prudence, the lady at the Attorneys I had been dealing with, has also become unavailable and is not responding to emails or voice calls. I have also tried to contact somebody - anybody - at Fidelity ADT's accounts department, but the moment switchboard hears my "case number" the line goes dead or I am indefinitely placed on hold.

I have done my research and have also seen on Hello Peter that this seems to be their modus operandi - no communication and incessant harassment until the ex-customer can't take it anymore and pays just to get rid of them. They have the money and the resources to outlast any normal person - never mind a law abiding senior citizen - even if the matter takes a legal route.

Let me tell you something, Fidelity ADT, you may win the battle, but you won't win the war. I, for one, will inform every person I meet and communicate with about how shoddily I was treated, your total lack of customer service and the way you do not fulfil your agreement to protect the people who pay you for the service. And trust me, there are many who will hear and listen, as I still work in the media industry. And they will tell their network, who will pass it on to theirs. Buyer, beware!!!
