ADT Fidelity

I recently had a very disappointing experience with ADT that I feel compelled to share. I initially signed up for their services, but before anything was installed or any service began, I decided to cancel the policy. I followed what I believed to be the correct process to inform them of my decision, assuming this would be the end of it.

However, to my surprise, I later received communication from a law firm claiming I owed money to ADT. This is extremely frustrating because no services were rendered, and nothing was installed. Despite not having received anything from them, ADT apparently considered my cancellation irrelevant and treated the situation as if I defaulted on a payment.

This experience feels like an attempt to extract money unfairly. Their billing practices and lack of proper communication surrounding cancellations are deeply concerning. I expected a straightforward cancellation process, especially before any services started. Now the law firm said I need to make the payment immediately or else I will be listed on certain credit bureaus and have a bad credit profile. On top of this the salesperson i dealt with is not answering her calls or there is no form of contact

If you're considering ADT, be cautious about their contracts and cancellation policies. They might claim you owe them even if you cancel before they do anything. My advice: think twice, read the fine print, and get everything in writing.
