Beware

My experience:

Contacted Fibersat DSTV Installer on *** on 17 June and asked them to come and install the (second) upgraded DSTV unit in our bedroom.

The gentleman said he would come and the call out fee would be R350 and that the technician would let me know if there was anything else that we needed and I could then pay by EFT once they were finished with the installation.

My husband had done the necessary installation but the unit stopped working after a few minutes as the signal was weak.

The installer came and went up onto our roof and installed a new communicator. He and his assistant were here for about 15 minutes.

The assistant gave me an invoice and asked me to pay via EFT before they left. The invoice was for R 2 869 !! (Invoice number 0445)

I did the transfer but as soon as my husband returned he was furious with the overcharge and called Fibersat who agreed that this amount was incorrect and that they would get back to him once the technician returned to their office.

My husband has subsequently called them numerous times and they have not reverted to him with the any plan to credit us and they are now blocking his calls. The invoice does not reflect any contactable address!
