Fiat SA not willing to repair engine

My wife drives a 2014 Fiat 500C and on 3 May she drove to Pretoria and back on the way back the car started to miss-fire and stuter. Appointment was made for 15 May 2017 at the dealer where the vehicle was bought to inspect and repair the vehicle (Total cost of work done on the vehicle R12 000). They called me the same day to inform me that they need to replace the coils on all four cylinders and that one spark plug Center Electrode and Ground Electrode broke off and fell into the cylinder. I asked if they have inspected inside the cylinder with a borescope to make sure everthing has been taken out and the reply was no but they have tried there best with a magnet to remove the pieces. Two days later they informed me the car was ready for collection and I collected the car. After 2 km the car started to miss fire and jerk like before and now their was a noise coming from the engine as well. I call the dealer to collect the car which and find out what the problem is. Friday 19 May 2019 they phoned and told me the engine will have to be open. My feedback was not to do anything till Monday when I will be at the dealship to discuss. Monday 22 May 2017 I greed to removing the cylinder head. Next day I had to go and view the cylinder head and pistons and found that all the cylinder head and all four pistons are badly damaged to the extend that the dealer told me they cannot repair this and that I will have to buy a new sub-assembly engine at a total cost of plus/minus R80 000. I told them that i will take this up with Fiat SA because the vehicle has just came out of warranty with a full service record at the dealership where the vehicle was bought. I logged a complaint with the Call Centre, I drove to there Midrand offices as well and was left standing in the street trying to get to someone to help me with my complaint and some time later someone came out to hear my complaint standing in the street.

History of this vehicle:

Bought April 2014

Lady driver

29580 km

Full Service history at one dealership

This is my wives second Fiat 500 (Also the last)

My complain:

1. The failure of the sparkplug apparently caused the damage according the Technician but spare parts between service should not fail and if a replacement spare part fails and causes any damage, then a spare part claim need to take care of this damage.

2. This vehicle has just got out of the warrant period and their is normally a grace period of a month on Warranties

3. The fact that spark plug failed that was installed by them according to their guidelines and quality standards which broke and the did not investigate removed all the debrid from the cylinder

4. The coils was replaced and the engine did exactly the same as before

Feedback from Fiat this morning is that they not going to repair/replace the engine and that all repair costs are for my pocket. The vehicle has been with the dealer since 15 May 2017 and I only got feedback today 14 June 2017.

My expectation is that Fiat SA will make good on this repair.
