Fiat- Pathetic service

My 9 month old Fiat 500 has endless problems. I dropped my car of at Fiat Umhlanga 2 weeks ago, because there was a belting sound coming from the engine. They diagnosed the car with a faulty timing chain and water pump. They refuse to help me with a courtesy car. This is the second time the water pump has gone on my car.

Is a brand new car suppose to have these problems?
