Bring back my Money

We have had a shocking experience with this dealership. In 2018 we decided to sell our car through Jeep Sandton with the intention to get the 2019 model which a consignment was due to arrive in January. They displayed the car and We got a buyer for it. They facilitated the sale and deducted a fee from the proceeds of the sale. We then requested that they hold a portion of the remainder funds (200k) for possible transaction on the next potential deal. We were then informed that the price of the expefted model suddenly went up by about 100k before the car arrived and with the economic times being hard, we decided we couldn't go ahead with buyjng a new car anymore despite their attempts to convince me otherwise.

As such, we requested they refund the money we had left in trust and good faith as there was no set contractual order of a vehicle as the consignment was a set number of vehicles and colors coming regardless of demand or order. The Dealer principal hss since refused to return the money with threats of deducting funds from the total amount. Attempts to to escalate the issue to the dealer owner have also proved futile.
