**********ly Shocking Service

My Fiat 500 1.4 Sport (I'm mentioning the vehicle as it will have reference further down) was towed into Fiat Chrysler Fourways on Friday 6 January 2017. The battery was flat, which was why I had requested a tow from my insurance company. The tow truck company confirmed it was the battery. I thought this would be a good opportunity to take it to the dealer to have a diagnostic done on the vehicle to see that everything else was ok. I advi*** Fiat Chrysler that the problem was the battery but please do a diagnostic and check the fuel filter.

Monday 9 January - no feedback. I called 3 times in order to get a quotation and to find out what the issues were. After calling 3 times to speak to Busi (service advisor on my vehicle) still no return call. Tuesday 10 January - called again and had to leave another message for Busi as still no feedback had been received. Tuesday afternoon I received a call back. I was told the battery was flat - which I had already told them - so they couldn't do any diagnostic tests, etc., so they will have to replace the battery first - R4100 !!!! I exclaimed - "Sorry, repeat that please?" R4100. I said R4100 to replace the battery?? Busi advised YES. I told her not a chance in hell would I be paying that - leave my car, forget about the quote and I'll replace my own battery. Oh, Busi exclaimed, you'll do it yourself!? Too ****** right I will.

R4100 to replace a R710 battery, which will literally take 2 mins to do. I will be purchasing my own battery today and I will fit it myself.

Absolutely disgusting that Fiat Chrysler Fourways can even THINK to rip someone off to this extent and still have done nothing on my vehicle.

Never will I recommend this dealership and never will I return there again.
