I won't be using this company again

Contracted this company in to supply and install 2 garage doors with automation. On the 1st day after installation, one unit fails. From there it became a downward spiral and things got worse. Numerous blatant installation anomalies was noted (and confirmed by the manufacturer) - loose bolts, *****s not installed in some locations, hinges fitted skew, parts mangled to make them fit, no safety cable fitted to the tension springs, etc. Units failed again on another 2 occasions and each time one has to wait a week before you are fortunate enough to have Mr Maurer attend halfheartedly to the problems. After 10 months since installation, one door was damaged as a direct result of the poor installation and another uphill struggle begins.

5 months later, the only resolve was to take the matter to the Small Claims court, which ruled in my favor (as was be expected) and FGM Automation was forced to provide me a refund.

Contracted a different company in to perform the task. What a surprise - there is still companies out there that takes pride in their workmanship. FGM Automation is welcome to visit my premises to see how doors should be installed (free of charge ofc).

Hello igoriii,

The garage door MOTORS we installed had a factory fault, you have a copy of an email from the manufacturer regarding this.

Yes we do make mistakes and we tried to resolve the installation issues but you demanded we do this after hours but due to the distance between us this was just not possible. We got the door manufacturer involved (Technical director) to point out the ACTUAL problems on the installation, which I attended to (in working hours) and you where happy with the outcome.

I made it clear to you from the start, the distance between us will delay our response with a day or two. Our longest response time was 4 working days this excludes the time you lost our email...

When the one garage DOOR developed a problem after 10 months of operation you once again demanded that I come and replace the panel after hours. The manufacturer offered to assist and send out a team to replace the panel and look at any of your concerns re the doors (in normal working hours) but your demand changed and you wanted someone to do a full report on the doors then fix everything noted, the manufacturer agreed however you kept on postponing and delaying appointments until the manufacturer gave up.
