My Consequences for Their Mistakes

Near the end of June 2024, I utilized this company to finance an item I purchased as they offered a 6 month payment option. Great. 1st two months they deducted R3k as per agreement. Month 3,4 and 5, they deducted R2,4k. A whole R600 less as per agreement.

I contacted them to enquire about this, to which they said that they were aware that they were having issues with their system that was deducting incorrect amounts. No communication from their side to inform of the complications on there side, that would have been appreciated.

I then asked as to how will my contract be affected as the full amount will not be paid within the agreed upon terms due to the reduced deduction. I was then informed that the final (month 6) payment will go off and will settle the balance.

So my understanding is that now in Dec 2024, a final payment of R4,7k (R1,700 more than the agreed amount) will be deducted from my account. I do not have the finance nor budget to accommodate this large withdrawal, which means that I will be at a big disadvantage over this festive season.

This is a great disappointment as I am the one who will be in bad standing as my credit record will be greatly affect. This is not right, that I am to suffer the consequences of this company's wrong doing.

Avoid this company if you can, unless you don't mind the disappointment.
