Paid 95%, assured everything was on track, then informed of liquidation the day before installation
I contracted Fenster to supply and install aluminium windows and sliding doors for my home. Having used Fenster previously and received excellent service, I had every confidence in the company. I initially paid the required 70% deposit. Approximately three weeks before the scheduled installation, I was asked to pay a further 25% so that the installation could proceed, bringing my total payment to 95% of the contract value. As recently as the week before installation, I was assured that everything was on track and that my project would proceed as planned. The day before my sliding doors were due to be installed, I was informed that Fenster had gone into liquidation and that my installation would no longer proceed. This came as a complete shock after receiving repeated assurances that everything was on schedule. I have now been left significantly out of pocket after paying 95% of the contract value, with no installation completed and boarded-up external doorways where the sliding doors were due to be installed. I now face the prospect of having to pay another supplier to manufacture and install the products in order to complete my home. While I understand that businesses can face financial difficulties, I believe customers should have been informed much earlier if the company was unable to fulfil existing contracts. Continuing to request substantial payments and confirming that installations were on track shortly before informing customers of the liquidation has left me facing a significant financial loss and major disruption. I hope those responsible for managing the company's affairs provide affected customers with a clear and transparent plan for resolving outstanding contracts.

FENSTER ALUMINIUM MANUFACTURING FAULT + INSTALLATION FAILURE
Fenster Aluminium manufactured ALL my house sliding window and doors + all opening windows - "FRAMES" - 100% incorrect - they have no idea how a weep hole is working - nor to be manufactured nor installed... my R25mil house is a swimming pool..... after 3 years of BEGGING FENSTER TO complete this MESS - they are NOT responding NOR worried because if you order a window or door - you PAY 100% upfront - and they walk away with this disaster installation over R3 mil

FENSTER ALUMINIUM IS A NO GO - RUN AWAY
FENSTER Aluminium are not able to build/assemble/ or fit aluminium frames. These expensive frames are leaking, rusting, weep holes is a NO GO - not working with any rain or water. The water does not go OUT - it is INSIDE the house - my floors, carpets, ceilings and walls are all damaged, my ceilings moulded and FENSTER cannot seal or secure frames. After 3 years since installation - they were here 6 times for site visits, LOADS OF PROMISES TO FINALISE this installation, mistakes, incorrect frame sealing, frames with up to 10mm openings on the corners, leaking double glazed glass... you can see the ocean through the frames, etc...and a huge 5meter window is hanging on 3 wall plugs!! We had to secure this frame with angles to prevent the wind for taking this out. They take money - they cannot be in this industry. They are now trying to accuse me of all the mistakes of their POOR work. The manufacturer en EU have very very poor reviews......
