Provident Fund Payout not processed over 5 months
To Whom It May Concern

I'm writing this report to complain about bad service that I got from Cape Town Regional Office of Fedics Food Services and in their Head Offices in Johannesburg.

My mom (who is 63 years old) called me asking for my help because its been 5 months now since she retired in her work. Her retirement date was on 24th December 2014, and was promised by her manager that her Provident Fund Payout was going to be paid in 6 weeks time. Up until now it has not been paid to her.

Instead Fedics Food Services called her in April 2015 to inform her that her Provident Fund Documents were incorrect, but it was her Manager (at Fedics) who made the mistake and completed resignation forms instead or retirement forms (mind you these guys were quiet all this time). Now 2 weeks back, my mom received a call from a guy who's dealing with her Provident Fund payout, requesting for a Proof of Bank Account, and requested it to be faxed to his direct fax, of which it was done.

Now today I called Fedics again to find out when will my mom going to get what's due to her, instead i'm being transferred from one phone to the other (in head office), Koketso Madute in HR dept was very rude.
We have investigated the miscommunication and delay surrounding the complainant's query.
Koketso Madute, who is based in our Johannesburg office did her best to assist the complainant but due to regional constraints her assistance was only limited to giving him contact details of the HR Manager from our Cape Town region, who was the only person who could help with the complaint. Our Gauteng Human Resource staff does not have access to employee details who are employed outside the Inland region and this is the reason why Koketso tried to guide the complainant as to who he should contact regarding this query. The complainant details were forwarded to the Cape region as soon as we were aware of what happened and the office was advised to treat this matter with the outmost urgency.
