Water damage of goods, repacked to conceal damage.

We are an importer of electronic goods and we recently imported new stock from overseas. The boxes arrived as they usually do but 2 boxes were not the boxes we receive from our supplier. We did not think anything of it, besides the normal wear and tear that boxes do get we did not suspect any damage. When we finally got to open the boxes a lot of our stock was water damaged, like totally soaking wet. The boxes they were in were dry though. The damaged goods was in one of the odd shaped boxes and one original box that was heavily RE TAPED with a different tape than used by our supplier. We've lodged a case via our supplier's shipping agent, was contacted by a Petrus Mphutlane which promised to investigate and has since been either ignored or not sure which shipment this is for and he's having trouble accessing our photo evidence we sent him. Please assist. I know shipments gets damaged and it's part of the game, but concealing the damage, to probably get away with the client signing off is not ethical in my opinion.
