TNT Worldwide Express, should be TNT Worldwide Apathy

I have a parcel coming in from overseas via TNT. Landed in SA on the 27th of April. Understandably it's a public holiday and weekend, so nothing was done.

Today, being the 30th of April, I contact TNT to see why they have not sent me clearance/duty documentation. And this is where the wheels fall off..

Call 1: Explain the story, transferred to 'Helen'. Helen does not pick up. Stay on hold for 5 minutes. Give up.

Call 2: Explain the story, transferred to Clearing Dept. Nobody picks up. Stay on hold for another 5 mins. Give up.

Call 3: Explain story, insist on speaking to a supervisor. Transferred and nobody picks up. Stay on hold for 3 minutes. Give up.

Call 4: Explain story, insist on supervisor. Cut-off.

Call 5: Explain story, insist on supervisor. Speak to 'Maggie' - who has been the only one who actually took time to try and sort our the problem. We'll see what happens..

TNT are a nightmare to deal with. No direct numbers to departments, and no-one particularly helpful. They need to really look at response times and staffing issues. Where's the accountability, the professionalism? They're a global company, but in South Africa they might as well be communicating via ***eons. It'll be faster.
