tnt ridiculous admin fee for basic customs form submission

<p>I bought a linear actuator from a supplier in China for $50 and was advised to make use of TNT express (the fastest shipment option to South Africa) and was charged an additional $105 (that about R1575) for that. It took about a week to arrive at Johannesburg where it was stopped. I gave TNT a call and one of the consultants let me know that she will submit to customs since its common for a parcel to get stuck there and a few hours later when I phoned again she said it was released and is on its way. I spoke to this consultant a few times during that day making reference to the expected duty fees that need to be settled and not once was I told about the admin fee and how much it will be. It seems crazy that I need to pay R469.62 for admin fees on top of the already payed R1575 import fee! I am outraged that I was never told during my conversation with the consultant and the fact that its so expensive. The fact that there is no breakdown of how and what the admin fee is based on is also obsered. I am starting a business and will be importing a large number of these items but I am really scared of using TNT because it feels like they overcharge for admin fees which inturn make the whole process un affordable. </p>
