TNT Express shocking service

Absolutely shocking service!!! Worst of all courier companies. May as well use South African Post Office. Had a shipment left from Taiwan on 6th January. On 10th January I received email with duties and taxes which I immediately paid. Tracking was updated to day package would be delivered on 10 January. We'll on the 10th there was no delivery. Checked tracking again and says "Shipment delayed, recovery in progress" Called TNT and was told that Elandsfontein depot had requested Operations Dept at OR Thambo to sent the package to them and that it would be delivered Monday. We'll Monday came and went, no shipment! Called again and was told no one at Operations Dept was answering the phone and that they (depot) would email them and they phone me to tell .e what's going on. No phone call!!!! Not surprised!!! Called again and was told the shipment is still in Taiwan!!! Hard to believe as tracking shows it passed formal Customs clearance at OR Thambo. So now looks like legal action will need to be taken from my side, this is basically theft!!!

Never ever use TNT again. Staff make empty promises and are totally ***********
