Table smashed in pieces delivered and no reply!

We sent a beautiful glass table from Cape Town to JHB for a client using FEDEX as the courier.It arrived at the client in shattered pieces.It left Cape Town well wrapped in its box and cover. We have now tried for a month to get FEDEX to replace the table upon which they have admitted liability by agreeing to pay R1000 when the cost of the table is R4500.00<br> WHY use such a courier, if you have told them your item is fragile and they then collected the glass table from our client in JHB and sent it back to us in Cape Town in pieces for no good reason.<br> We have left messages, emails and calls for Miriam, Clinton and now Julie and until now, still do not have a clear picture as to what will be covered.They had one guy trying to load the glass table into their van and I myself told him its glass he said not to worry.
