Stop blaming Customs for bad customer service
I have had a package stuck at customs since November 2019. Fed ex is not making this process any easier. If I do not email fedex asking for ‘updates’ they just do not bother to contact me. I have sent paperwork and invoices and bank statement numerous times. Now, in March 2020, 4 months later, I am told I must pay a ‘non-compliance fee’, however, no invoice has been sent to me. When I asked for an explanation on why I need to pay a ‘non-compliance fee’, nobody is able to answer me. I have not sent through any false information so I cannot understand why I am being charged with a non-compliance fee, and I have said that if they can explain this or provide evidence of how I did not comply, then I will be happy to pay if I am in the wrong. Fed ex do not care in helping me get my package out of customs and they do not care to inform customers on what is happening. I know that the package is in customs and this is not technically FedEx’s fault, BUT, Fedex has not shown any sense of urgency in helping customers get their packages out of Customs and it’s easy to just sit back and blame Customs and take no responsibility for bad customer service.
