Ripping people off
Recently shipped excess luggage from India to South Africa as it as simply too much to take with on an extended holiday.
This is all personal belongings and nothing was imported to South Africa. First you demanded an importer code which is not applicable seeing as this package is nothing but personal belongings. Then you surprised us with a nasty bill of R2126,66 for customs duty and release verification. This is not the first time we are sending personal belongings from India to South Africa as this is a regular holiday destination, yet this is the first time we are being held at ransom for the release of our personal belongings by forcing us to pay such an exorbitant invoice.
This package is within the allowance that can be brought into the country under a person's ID number, yet you choose to ignore our request for assistance and an explanation from your side in order to resolve this matter and release our package.
We should have used Aramex as so many times before because they never gave us such problems.
Shipment Nr: ********** 06469 Account Nr: ********** Shipment details: EK770
And please teach your staff, especially a lady by the name of Brenda Manamela, that it is good manners and good business etiquette to reply to a client's queries and concerns.
