Poor customs clearing by Fedex

I have been waiting on goods that arrived in the country for about 10 days now. Customs have received my goods but are holding on to them and not clearing them without giving me any particular reason. I have been making calls every day using my airtime and there has been no feedback on the status of the clearing of the goods. This is not fair and very inconvenient.
