Parcel delayed and then disappeared and no one knows where it is.

I had a parcel coming from Hong Kong. First I was told the parcel has been stopped by customs. Then tracking showed that customs have approved import. I called and was sent an invoice which I paid but nothing happened. I went to Elandsfontein and I was told the parcel is still at the airport. They promised to deliver by Monday. On Monday I was told customs are still checking the parcel. It was a back and forth communication with their clearance consultant. On Tuesday 26 November the parcel moved to Elandsfontein. I called and arranged to collect and on Friday I went to collect but no one knew were the parcel was. They told me it was in Durban but when they called Durban they said they have no physical scan of the parcel. I was then told that there was a mixup with waybills and they've asked Hong Kong to get the shipper to send them pictures of the package. On Friday 29 I got an sms that they have escalated the matter to their security department. They said I must inform shipper to re-ship while their security department investigates. How does a parcel just disappears like that? Was it even stopped by customs? There's just too many questions that don't have answers. Everything doesn't make sense. I'm let to think no customs stopped the shipment, it was just delay tactics for them to ***** it. I haven't received anything from the clearance department. I only saw the parcel movement and assumed it had been cleared but no communication about it being released. Everything is just strange. I don't believe the parcel was lost, it was ****** through their network. It can't just e a coincident that the parcel got delayed and mysteriously went from the airport to Elandsfontein and walked from Elandsfontein without anyone noticing.
