Package could not be sent to Consignee in China
On the 17th of July, I sent a package to China which was parts of my machine, sent for repairs. The machine is a second hand large format printer which is used for production and therefore is my bread and butter. Before sending the package through FedEx, I did ask what the requirements would be to make sure it reaches the Consignee on the other end with no hassles. FedEx being internationally recognized should surely know what the requirements are, and they didn't foresee or indicate any potential problems.

I am faced with endless problems and delays right now because the Chinese customs are asking documents which both the consignee or I could not provide such as a Certificate of Inspection and Quarantine, and hence they don't want to release my goods. Returning the goods also seems like a problem now and they want me to formally write a letter to apologies for the Chinese customs for the delays and their time. I had to send a Return to Sender Request letter and I am still waiting on a feedback. No one from FedEx has contacted me rather I have to follow up on them, Who is going to pay me for loss of income for the above period and my parts are not repaired!!
Thank you for the above information, I do understand your frustration. The matter has been escalated to the trace team who are in contact with the recipient in China. The initial permission for the shipment to be return was rejected by Customs in China. Awaiting on the resubmission. The trace team will keep you updated with the progress. Kind regards
