FedEx VAT *****

In October I shipped a package from the US to Pretoria. When the package arrived, FedEx gave me a bill that looked suspicious. I asked them (specifically Vanessa Vorster) to explain to me how the VAT was calculated. FedEx gave me a "calculation" that is PLAINLY WRONG. The final calculation is: R964.60 * 14.00% = R135.044 - rounded it is R135.04. They state the VAT is R964.60 * 14.00% = R135.10. There is a WOOPING 6 cent difference. Now, for individuals with single transactions, a mere 6c here and there is not an issue. BUT for any company to “score” between 2 and 6 cents on MILLIONS of transactions a day, that is BIG money. How many laws are broken if you miscalculate VAT? I hope the government is not involved in this??? I think SARS, Carte Blanche, SAPS and Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation should have a look at this VAT calculating practice in the Import industry. On 11 November 2017 I asked FexEx to explain and till today I am still waiting for an answer.The fact that FedEx is "silent" about this speaks VOLUMES ("of *****??").
