Fedex the Ghost!

I keep receiving automated mails stating my account is in arrears. Being Automated I can not reply, according to my records the account is up to date. There is no attached statement or invoice, instead I am being referred to a mail response or alternatively requested to log in or register to an accounts portal. It all seems good however there are no contact details to call to confirm the validity of the mail. I looked on their website and found a number hidden in the footer of the contact page. This number ask if you calling on a international or domestic shipment and disconnect if you do not respond. I am calling on neither, I am simply trying to get to the accounts department to confirm the validity of mail, request an invoice and statement. Without an invoice the amount outstanding cannot be paid. Online ***** exposed my company to over R2 million loss in 2019. from where we take utmost caution. We receive regular phishing spam and therefore placed an internal policy to establish direct contact before any accounts are actioned. Fedex are either not reputable or not transparent by not having an open switch board to call. In todays cyber world it is ideal to have everything automated, sadly the reality is that there are more crime and opportunities on line than in older technologies. The next though is they reduced staff by having the electronic system. How great is this for the current unemployment situation we face, do we as South Africans truly want to support this behavior? To narrow it down my complain is the inability to get hold of fedex accounts telephonically. It raise suspicion and doubt in their ability to provide accurate service.
