Fedex South africa *********** customs clearing

Fedex South Africa. After very poor reviews Christiel Khan is still in he job , sadly. Our shipment is stuck with them for 2 weeks because they cleared it without authorization, and they cleared it wrong. Now they dont want to own up to they mistake and rather hold our shipment hostage. I had similar fights wiht UPS and DHL where we had to get the CEO involved to resolve the matter. The problem lies wiht the lack of education wiht the bottom people, and by the time ti gets to the seniors, the damage is long done and can apparently not be revered which is another exuse for lazyness. SARS and the government are often blamed for high import duties. This is far from the truth. People pay hight duties beacuse of incompetnent clearing clerks that had to be emplyed by the major courier companies. Another reason why doing business in SA in such a pain :(

Thank you for taking the time to write about the experience that you have had with FedEx. Please allow us a short while to investigate the circumstances around this issue. A member of our management team will make contact with you directly to resolve this as soon as possible. I trust this is in order. Regards

Dear Valdemiro Thank you for all your efforts that were most appreciated. Unfortunately your collegue Christiel Khan put a knife straight into your back. I am shocked at the toxic environment that your have to work in. Please give us the contact details of the
CEO or the MD and the head of HR so they can hear how much you have been ridiculed in front of a customer. You have our sympathies: Felix

OK first of all a big thank you to Valdemiro. Thanks to his tireless efforts, after 6 weeks the goods were finally delivered to us. But sadly this is not he end of the story. I order to claim the VAT back from SARS, we do need the paperwork from Fedex, and to date there si nothing forthcoming. After threatening to report them with the SAHRC they have finally given us theier PAIA manual, which is their legal obligation. In here I could find the address of the PAIA officer, which we have approached, and who has not responded as yet, and next the CEO of Fedex. If nothing is forthcoming we will have to make an official PAIA submission to get your VAT invoice. The matter has reached a level of incompetence that is unheard of even in SA. Who has ever heard of a company how needs to be legally forced to furnish the client with a tax invoice ?
