Fedex - Ridiculous Rates and 11 days for Delivery

My daughter sent me a parcel from Connecticut USA on 4 February 2015. A 2 KG box (contents - baby clothes cost $66). Cost of courier service $160. The same parcel size in South Africa to the States is about half the price via DHL. RAND 714.34<br> Total to ship a parcel for my daughters first nephew who she has not been able to see cost R 2 540.00 Is that not sick. How is it possible for them to charge so much compared to DHL. The Fedex box reached me all thorn and dirty unlike DHL who delivers the parcels intact. I am totally and utterly ridiculous.
