Fedex refuses to honor legal requirements in custom clearance
Shipment: *** Once again we have issues with the brokerage department. The shipment was supposed to be cleared with purpose code J 83 but was cleared with purpose code H00. The content was declared as ***0(3) while the content of the package was 8708.30.90 ( 7 ) and now the worst: the UCR (unique consignement reference ) was declared as 2ZA***3COTH***S while the actual number was 2ZA***3COTH***S Now we sit with 2 unique numbers. The problem is that Fedex is REFUSING to correct the mistakes and is in open breach of custom requirements. Our contention is what empowers Fedex to act outside the confines of the law ?
