Fedex Overcharging
FedEx brings in items from USA for me.
quite regularly.
every now and then they appear to lose the plot w.r.t import duties.
total value of my package R2000
a mixed bag of stuff, 2 x USB cables, a screen protector for a cell phone, a mocha pot (small coffee peculator) 3 boxes with el-cheapo cigars. worth about R300 per box.

FedEx sends me an import duty invoice for R11,713.08
someone at Fedex obviously smoking their socks.

a big "thank you" to Tamryn Collinge for replying, Sophie Nkhabelane for investigating & resolving, Anthea Simmers for explaining the mix-up and Nicky Pateras for following up with a call and emails.
The issue was resolved professionally & quickly.
Thanks to the professionalism of the ladies mentioned above I'll use FedEx again for sure.
