Fedex going down the tubes

I ordered some cigars from the USA.

In the US, weight is calculated in pounds (lbs) In SA, we use kilograms.

So I get charged import duties on the lbs value - they forgot to convert it to kilograms. (tears)

When I query the R5000+ import duties, Fedex staff tells me "no sir, just pay the duties so you can get your package, we will refund you the difference)

It's now 3 odd weeks later and I have received no correspondence from Fedex. My emails on the matter have gone unanswered. ????

But wait, there's more........

Today another package was supposed to be delivered, again from the USA.

Nothing arrived - even though online tracking says the package was "out for delivery" since yesterday 11:45.

I called the call centre (twice) & even spoke to the driver who said he called me when he tried to deliver.

He's lying.

I have no missed calls & no messages on my phone.

The message he left with Fedex was "business closed for the day" My house is not a business. ???? Where did he go?

Luckily, after threatening them with a hellopeter post, a lady called "Pamela" came to my assistance and arranged for after-hours delivery.

The people who work with you at Fedex Johannesburg appear to suffer from cerebral necrosis.

They really should promote you before the necrosis spreads..
