FedEx Express refuse to deliver goods and destroy same

FedEx Express destroyed goods I purchased and settled in full. FedEx Express demanded that I pay import duties and taxes which are due by the Importer of the relevant goods, and when I refused to settle the taxes and duties (which I am neither contractually nor legally liable for) FedEx Express refused to deliver the goods and opted to destroy it, rather than demanding payment from the liable party. Ouma Selebogo and Angela Selota from FedEx Express was unwilling to assist and/or listen to reason.
