FedEx - disaster! Use rather an alternative, e.g. UPS, DHL or ARAMEX
Waiting since more than 3 months for the delivery of a product, zero rated for VAT, by SARS. The senior clearance broker charged me by mistake for VAT and has most probably cleared the goods already. Now he is refusing to reverse the transaction and asks me for a vat exemption certificate from SARS. I provided FedEx with a copy and abstract of the SARS directive as well as an opinion from a professional cargo specialist but there is no help. If he does not like what you write than he just ignores my emails. Time, he thinks, will work for him! What a bad experience!
