Shocking "last mile" service for international express parcels. My package from FARFETCH cleared customs on Saturday already after duties were paid immediately. Yet, FedEx has left it sitting in a regional hub for days.

Because I live outside a major metro in Middelburg, they treat the parcel with zero priority and hand it off to a slow third-party contractor that only routes to my area on specific days of the week. This completely defeats the purpose of paying a premium for international express shipping.

If you are shipping to regional areas in South Africa, their domestic presence is incredibly weak compared to competitors like DHL who manage their own daily local fleets. A premium international shipment shouldn't be bottlenecked by an inefficient local weekly delivery schedule.
