Awful ******

What an awful experience. Delivery was due today no communication as to why my package has been delayed. It’s been in Dubai since Saturday. Yet these ****** added an extra R150 to my duties and tax amount. I want my money back. Communication sucks

Thank you for your previous responses.I would like to formally raise my concern regarding how this matter has been handled. The focus on Middle East disruptions does not address my dispute and instead shifts attention away from the core issues: lack of transparency, poor communication, and the inappropriate application of the R150 Clearance Administration Fee.As per FedEx’s own website:
“FedEx has activated operational plans to ensure safe, continuous operations in the Middle East while monitoring the situation closely. Pickup and delivery services remain operational in line with local regulations. Alternative network options are in place to reduce disruptions…”This indicates that contingency measures are in place. However, in my case, there was a clear failure in communication and system updates. My delivery ETA was only updated from Monday to Wednesday after I personally queried it, which raises concerns about the accuracy and proactiveness of your tracking and notification systems.Additionally, given that the digital manifest was available while the shipment was still in Dubai, FedEx had sufficient time to communicate expected duties and provide me with the option to settle these independently. This was not done. Instead, FedEx proceeded to act on my behalf and apply a fee without my prior knowledge or consent.I specifically chose FedEx for its reputation for speed and reliability. It is therefore extremely frustrating to experience:
  • A delayed shipment without proactive updates
  • No clear delivery ETA despite the parcel now being in Johannesburg
  • Additional charges that could have been avoided with proper communication
Under the Consumer Protection Act, I am entitled to transparent communication and disclosure of costs prior to services being rendered. This standard has not been met.I request the following:
  • A confirmed and accurate ETA for delivery
  • A refund of the R150 Clearance Administration Fee due to lack of transparency and consent
I want my money
P.S I have no desire to talk to the lady that just called. I take issue with her tone, ive dealt with complaints and nooooo baby that's not how its done!
