Featherwood Frail Care Centre

What could be a good Frail Care Facility, turned out to be a real disappointment. The facilities are good with good sized rooms and good common areas and situated in the safe environment of Featherwood Retirement Village. We know that no place is perfect, but in this case management of the Frail Care facility ignore valid complaints directed to them in a civil way. Instead they opt to redirect complaints by blaming the residents or their families. They never own up to, or rectify complaints, which is a shame as there are some good and caring staff. Screaming at the elderly in front of others by some senior people and even other staff members are commonplace, resulting in the already frail and vulnerable residents to become anxious. If a resident’s committee, as directed by law was in place, many issues could be solved in a civil and constructive manner. This place cannot be recommended.
