Poor quality, disappears once paid.

To be fair, I read the other reviews on HelloPeter before I engaged Nathan from Folding Door Systems to fit new doors and a window, and also to fix up existing doors and windows. I saw that they said roughly the same thing - he doesn't respond to calls, ignores messages, the work was shoddy, basically don't use this company. BUT he was offering a great deal (free installation), had positive reviews on Google, and the HP reviews were from the same time period, the end of Covid when we were all a bit frazzled. I addressed them with Nathan, and he assured me that they were simply "difficult" customers and that he absolutely does not behave like that. Cue a hollow laugh.

While the work was being done, and before he was paid in full, it was extremely frustrating to work with this company. They did not arrive when they said they would, ignored calls and basically communicated very badly. I was left for days without the ability to secure external doors, giving me sleepless nights and a whole lot of unnecessary stress and worry about my safety.

I paid the final amount owing when I thought all the work was complete, but then subsequently discovered that a lock they fitted cannot be used, to the extent that I can't close one set of stacking doors because they cannot be reopened. I need to hire another company to fix the lock. I have also discovered that both exterior doors which he supp**** and fitted are not watertight. And another lock is so flimsy that one tug sees the whole lot simply pulling out of the frame. Nathan is now not answering my calls and not responding to my WhatsApp messages. The last message from him was to say that the day I proposed he come back and fix things (after he simply didn't pitch the previous time he was due back) was "definitely good" and that he would see me then. Since then, crickets.

Unfortunately Nathan is exactly as other people have noted on this platform (see reviews under Folding Door Systems etc). With doors and windows forming such an integral part of our safety in a country known for it's high crime rate, I feel morally obligated to share my experience.
