FBS ****

on 02/01/2023, at 23:59:59, as usual, I received a daily confirmation email from FBS and all was ok, my account balance was as I know and expected it to be. Then the market opened the next day at 01:00, just an hour after I had received the confirmation email. All of the sudden, my balance is zero and all my open positions have been closed.

I contacted FBS to enquire about this, they told me that the system closed my positions because my margin percentage dropped below 20 %. How so? I asked but I am not getting an explanation or clear answer that explains the claimed 20% margin.

As I know it, and according the records in their email, my equity was $141.50 and my used margin was $20.70. So my margin %=(equity/used margin)*100 =683%. I asked them in so many ways to explain the 20% that they are claiming, but I am not getting an answer. They are unable to explain when and how my margin % dropped from 683% to below 20 %.
