Cars in bad condition

I purchased a car from them. The owner Fuad told me the peugeot 207 had minor problems and that I should take a citroen the citroen was in worst condition and had marks of a accident.i asked what was wrong with the peugeot and was told it's tappids needed to be set. After purchasing the car and spending R14 000 on repairs I took its for diagnostics and was told most features including ; thermostat, keys, ecu, radiator, wiring, catalytic converter were all permanently damaged and that the car was in horrible condition. I went back to the dealership because my understanding was I was buying a second hand car not a lump of metal garbage. I was curtious and asked that he change it for a car in working condition and he said most of his cars needed to be fixed but he will put it back up for sale as many people wanted it and the main engine was fixed I would get my money back. Then I should come next week he would be getting more cars.and that he only had a golf 5 that was in ok condition just needed a service. When I went back the next week he said come the next day.when I went the next day he had a attitude and I left the car with him and have received no feed back or call or anything from him.i intend to take the matter further.

Spoken to the owner once again on the evening of the 10/12/2016 and he told me that he put the car up for sale it seems as though I will loose my money for repairs and that he would contact me by Monday or Tuesday. Just as how he previously told me "come Monday Tuesday, give me a week" its now Wednesday and when I called him yesterday he had no definite solution for me. It's highly unfair that he sits with the car does not contact me and I must wait for him to sell it to get my money back. As he waited over a week before even putting it back up for sale. He has not once called me to give me any information. I have taken this matter to a lawyer who started proceedings with the Motor vehicle consumer complaints (RMI) as well as the ombudsman.i was willing to negotiate with him have tried and given him the time he asked for.
