Lack of Communication & Bad customer service

<p>On the 15th of October 2016 my niece went to the bridal shop to hire dresses i.e wedding dress & bride's **** dresses for the wedding which was suppose to take place 31 Dec 2016. A deposit of R2300 paid. On 2nd of November after much heart ache the bride called off her wedding.. Fatiema was contacted and notified. Fatiema had a funeral in her Fam and asked if she can get back to my niece the following day.After that fatiema & my niece liaised via whatsapp but to date Fattiema couldnt work out something in order to give some of the money back. i ended up phoning Fatiema's bridal shop on ********** 016 and spoke to a lady who claimed that they had to buy material to make the dresses and that they hav a NO Refund policy. My niece was not the first bride to wear the dresses in making as another bride hired the same dersses for a date in November. I was then told to speak to Fatiema directly who then claims that she must follow propper chanels and that she is waiting on her book keeper to come up with some sort of a solution. I am a book keeper and there is not a lot of thinking and paper work to issue a refund.Fatiema then sent a whatsapp to my niece stating that the receipt was stamped with the NO refund policy and that my niece signed right above it. The signiture on the receipt belongs to the lady that works for Fatiema. Nobody can foresee what the future has un store..We did not think that the wedding will be cancelled.</p> <p>I phoned Fatiema 11 November and she asked me to give her a day or two. Today being the 21st of November and still no feed back from Fatiema?</p> <p>I can understand if they want to charge a small fee for cancellation but to hold back a full R2300? The people who were suppiose to be in the wedding want their money back, I want my money back as I paid deposit for the wedding dress and deposit on one of the bride's **** dresses.My gift to the bride, but now that the wedding is cancelled, surely nobody issues gifts to people they dont know?</p> <p>I think this is ****************....</p> <p> </p>
