⭐ 1 STAR IS TOO GENEROUS — ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH FASTJET
My experience with Fastjet was absolutely unacceptable. This is one of the worst airline experiences I have ever had.
I was booked on Fastjet flight FN8335 from Harare to Johannesburg on 18 August 2026. I tried to check in, only to be told that the flight had been cancelled. I received no proper notification beforehand. Imagine arriving at the airport expecting to travel and only discovering there that your flight has been cancelled.
Because of Fastjet’s failure to properly communicate and handle the situation, I was left scrambling to reorganise my entire journey. I had to purchase another ticket for the following day, pay USD 41 to change my connecting flight to Cape Town, and incur additional accommodation expenses.
What makes the situation even more infuriating is the complete lack of accountability. Instead of taking responsibility for the disruption and the financial losses caused, I was left to chase answers and deal with the consequences myself.
An airline can have operational problems — but what separates a professional airline from an irresponsible one is how it communicates with and takes care of its passengers when things go wrong. Fastjet failed miserably on that front.
The stress, inconvenience, wasted time and unexpected expenses were completely unacceptable. I paid for a service and expected to be transported to my destination, not abandoned to figure everything out myself.
Fastjet needs to seriously improve its communication, customer service and accountability. Passengers are not numbers — we are paying customers whose time and money matter.
I would strongly advise people to think twice before booking with Fastjet, especially if you have connecting flights or important travel arrangements. Based on my experience, I would never willingly choose Fastjet again.
Extremely disappointing. Extremely stressful. Extremely unprofessional.
