Based on recent customer reviews, FASTA (Pty) Ltd draws sustained criticism around post-settlement account handling and contactability. Borrowers repeatedly report debit orders taken after loans were settled, refunds not returned, and credit bureau listings left un-updated long after payment. Many describe support tickets auto-closed by bots, unanswered emails to collections, broken SMS links and no reachable phone number. Retrenchment and debt insurance claims appear unprocessed, while unexpected interest and altered debit dates add frustration. One customer was grateful for approval when declined elsewhere.

Lack of communication
I had an outstanding balance of R1143.69 with Fasta loan, I emailed them requesting a payment plan for 3 months, then i started making payments, after making my second payment i was then contacted by CORE CONNECT saying that my account was handed over to them with the balance of R761.69, and if we minus 382*2 from the R1143.69 my balance should be R379,69 but the CORE CONNECT people are saying i should pay R761.69 and this account was handed over to them 3 days after my last payment to fasta and they cant allocate my last payment. Fasta should update my account with them but i have been contacting them by *** no one is responding to me and i keep getting calls form CORE CONNECT they say they cant help me fasta should be the one to help me.

Credit insurance claim prejudice
write to reiterate my serious concern and formally escalate my complaint regarding your institution's continued failure to process my debt insurance claim and the unjustified listing of my account with a credit bureau. In November 2025, my employment was terminated as a result of my contract not being renewed. Immediately upon this change in circumstances, and in strict adherence to the terms of both the credit agreement and the associated debt insurance policy, I notified your institution and submitted all required documentation to initiate the insurance payout against the outstanding balance. Despite having fulfilled every procedural obligation on my part — promptly and in full — your institution has, to date, failed to: • Acknowledge receipt of my insurance claim submission; • Provide any update or formal response regarding the processing of the claim; or • Take any steps to honour the debt insurance policy to which I am contractually entitled. This prolonged silence and inaction is wholly unacceptable and constitutes a clear disregard for your contractual obligations. To compound this failure, I have now discovered that your institution has proceeded to list this very debt with a credit bureau — despite the fact that a valid insurance claim remains unprocessed through no fault of my own. This listing is: • Factually incorrect, as the debt should have been settled or suspended through the insurance mechanism; • Procedurally unjust, as your institution has neglected its duty to process the claim before taking adverse action; and • Materially damaging, as it has caused significant and ongoing harm to my creditworthiness and financial reputation. In light of the above, I once again formally demand that your institution take corrective steps.

Unfair way to keep on adding interest on accounts
Just miss your payment with 1 day then you will get interest added daily with no option to pay for your loan via eft. I keep on getting sms with links that are not working, no functioning number or email. I can't even access my profile either for me to access the loan details so that I can pay

Unfair add to credit
I was unemployed for 8 months. I informed you of this by email. I also attached the document of my previous employer to confirm it. You threatened me and said that if I did not pay I would bear the consequences. Without negotiating for a settlement to make a monthly payment. You prepared it on my credit record. I borrowed R7000. Then you made the amount R7200. R200 that I am not even aware of . Now the amount is already R11000 more with the ridiculous interest . I am willing to pay a monthly amount of R400 . But only for the R7000 that I borrowed. No further extra costs. If you accept this, I will make the first installment on the 25 May 2026 . Only if you accept the agreement to just pay back the R7000 i borrowfrom you. I am waiting for your feedback. I whant a written document from you. Regards Leon Hattingh This email was send on the 25 April 2026 already. No rep****
