Unacceptable service

This has to be the worst courier company that I have dealt with. Early in November 2018 I purchased four books from a local online retailer who advised me in December 2018 that my books were on the way from their supplier. I then sent this retailer an email asking them to advise the courier company they use to deliver after 1530. They responded saying that when the courier company phoned me I could advise them of this delivery time.

Well I have been battling for a week to get my parcel delivered. Last week (03 January) I received an email from the retailer asking me to confirm my address as the courier company advised the could not find it and the address is incorrect. I confirmed that the delivery address they had is correct. I also in my response once again requested that they deliver after 1530. On 7 January I received another email from the retailer requesting a delivery address, and advisng that the courier had advised them that they, the courier, could not get hold of me. prior to today no-one from the courier company has phoned me. On 08 January I received an email from the courier company asking me to advise on this delivery I phoned them at 0861 46 3278 and I explained my issue to the lady who answered my call. She in turn advised that she would contact their Johannesburg branch and ask them to call me back, they never did.

Then on 09 January I received an email where I was CC from the courier company to the retailer saying the client, me, has moved. I responded to the retailer that that is nonsense as I have been in my house for almost thirty-five years. The retailer advised them thereof and after a lot of emails back and forth I received an email advising that my parcel would be delivered today. I responded to this email reming both parties that I can only accept delivery after 1530.

This morning at1115 I received a phone call from the courier company's driver that he was at my house to deliver my parcel. It seems that despite numerous notifications from me to both parties that I can only can only accept delivery after 1530, the courier company has chosen to ignore this.

This is completely unacceptable.
