I would suggest another courier company if there is so many bad reviews

So, I was suppose to receive a parcel yesterday (31/10/18) from Takealot and they haven't let me down before, I always received me parcel early or on the date that is supp****. I decided to check which courier company was delivering my parcel and then I came across all the reviews and now I'm not happy. Like everyone else I also received an sms, mine said "It will be delivered to you before 5pm on the 31 October", 5am (1/11/18) this morning an sms came through saying "We tried to deliver your order but couldn't", another one came through before 7am saying "my order has be delayed" and then just after 7am yet another sms "my order is out and will be here on the 2/11/18. I understand that my town is in a remote area but I have ALWAYS received my parcels on time when other companies deliver. My concern is that this parcel is a Birthday Gift that i would like to give to my boyfriend this weekend but from the reviews I have seen, I highly doubt it will come. If it does arrive today or tomorrow, my apologies but still, if a date is given, stick to it, don't deliver when you feel like it cause that is what it looks like.
