Anything BUT Fast and Furious

I so wish that Takealot would stop using this company as their courier. There is actually a running joke among my co-workers that if Fast and Furious says they'll deliver your parcel on a Tuesday, be prepared to have it on Friday at 18:00.

This is now the fourth time that I, personally, have had an issue with the delivery of a parcel long after I should have received it. My husband and friend have had the same issue where their Takealot tracker states the parcel will be delivered before 17:00 on a certain day (since we are teachers we are only at school until 14:00 and we use the school as our mailing address as we only have a PO Box), only for us to be called a day or two later at 18:00 with someone asking for a delivery address.

Now while I am thankful that my parcels at least still get delivered, it is nonetheless frustrating to see the tracker announce that your parcel is out for delivery the same day and then you do not receive it until the next or the next.

Please do something to speed up your disappointing service, or at least let the customer know if there is going to be a delay.

Hello Elizma,

Thank you for taking my call this morning and assisting me with the required information to investigate you complaint further.

We have identified on this particular order that there was a problem with the automated SMS system. The SMS should have triggered on the morning of the 7th June which was the promised delivery date of your order. Unfortunately it triggered when the driver was pre loaded on the 6th at approximate 12:27hrs.

I will also communicate with the branch concerned in regards to the school closing time, and to ensure future deliveries are done within the school hours.

We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Regards

Anne Van Goethem
