I was never told before doing the laybuy

I made a laybuy at Fashion world Hemingways then took it out a few days later not knowing that my mom had bought the shoe for me already. Now I went to get my refund and the lady says they don't do refunds on laybuys. My arguement is but she didn't tell me or give me an option to choose to take the laybuy and that I only knew about it after the laybuy was processed, what was going to happen if I decided that there and then that I don't want the laybuy anymore because of that condition just after the laybuy was processed, she didn't answer. I feel like my consumer rights are violated.
