Fashion world bad service

I went to fashion world store to return something that I bought last week, I was told that I need to bring a copy of my ID in order to get refund. Where is that stated on the slip ? at the back of the slip there's return policy written there and there anything that says you need to bring copy of your ID when returning the staff or refunding. I am very frustrated because I drove all the way to return this item for them to tell me I must bring copy of ID.
