RENTAL PROPERTY ********

I rented a flat from Farrelli properties for a year. My lease eventually expired end of Oct 2020. I was told that I had to vacate the premises by 12am on that day. I had a cleaning company come thoroughly clean the flat and I also went to make sure that the flat was spic and span. Nothing was damaged and the agent doing the outgoing inspection attested to this. He came and was happy with the condition of the flat. I was advised that my dep would be paid back after 20 working days. We’re now in March 2021 and I’m being given the run around for my money. Firstly, they said that the person handling finances had covid and was in isolation, so I had to wait for that( surely business doesn’t stop because of 1 person, but ok). After that, the person eventually came back and said that he had a back log. He promised that I would get my dep back before the end of Dec. Dec came and went - still nothing. Whenever I visit their offices, I always get told that there’s no one around to handle the matter. Finally in Feb, I was told that my dep was used for damages to the flat. What damages????? When I vacated the flat, the agent who did the outgoing inspection confirmed that everything was in PERFECT condition. When I called him after being told about the damages,he also didn’t know what the damages were because he says that everything was fine. I asked for a detailed list of the damages and was told that the maintenance guy quit in Dec so they also don’t know, yet I’m being charged. It’s clear to see that this is how this sorry excuse of a company makes their money. They call you several times when they hear that you’re even considering getting a rental from them but when it’s time for them to pay back, they give u the runaround. I’m sick and tired of FARRELLI properties and my advice to anyone looking for a rental is to STAY AWAY FROM FARRELLI PROPERTIES. You’ll definitely regret anything that has to do with them
