Farrelli holdings

We own a property in Cape Town, which we purchased through FARRELLI HOLDINGS. They were renting out our property via their rental agency. We have had numerous problems with them due to incompetence and lack of professionalism. They had installed tenants in the property who were tenants from hell. The property was not inspected on a regular basis, when i asked for documentation to prove they had carried out regular inspections(as advised by our lawyer ) I was told that the tenants were being 'difficult.' They had put up a dry wall in the living room and was subletting out the property. We were informed of this by one of our close friend who owned the property next door to ours. My husband had given then full control of all the rent money ie: paying the levies to Farrelli holdings from the rent money and depositing the remainder into our bank account. Suffice to say when I took over the handling of dealings with Farrelli I was shocked to realise that the tenant was allowed ( we were never informed) to pay short rent almost every other month. I asked for the tenant to be given notice in March 2019, this was not done. I had to email constantly to find out what was happening. The tenant stayed for FREE, for many months whilst we payed the mortgage. I was asked by Farrelli to pay for an Eviction notice, which was not guaranteed that the tenants would be evicted. When the tenants left in October and I asked for pictures of the property, the condition of the property was appalling! Had Farrelli bothered to do regular inspections, the property would not have been in such a state. Bearing in mind that the tenant and Farrelli (due to their incompetence and lack of caring) had left us in tens of thousands of rands out of pocket, I was now asked to pay R18,996,85 in order to repair all the damages ( pictures attached) I obviously refused and we decided to put our property on the market. I called Farrelli ( from the UK) and was told that every Time our agent needed to go to our property she needed to email Farrelli who would in turn grant her access to the property via the security. Our agent found a repair man who is an ex employee of Farrelli who was willing to do the repairs for a fraction of the price that Farrelli was asking for in order to make the flat look presentable to sell. I had already paid the man for the repairs.

Today the 3rd of December our agent recieved an email from Farrelli stating that the repair guy will not be allowed access to our property because he is an ex employee of Farrelli! Suffice to say my email to them today about this distasteful and unprofessional behaviour went unanswered. I called their offices today (from the UK) and I spoke with a delightful HR manager named 'K' she was very apologetic about my situation. I told her that Farrelli had no right to say who can and cannot be allowed access to our property. They were in fact sabotaging our attempt to sell something that we owned. They were now behaving like a petulant child throwing a tantrum because Farrelli could not get any more money out of us. I then asked her if what they were doing was in fact 'Legal' by not allowing someone we had already paid to carry out repairs on our property in order for us to sell it, she admitted that what Farrelli was doing was in fact NOT LEGAL, but rather had to do with some higher echelons ego who who saw it as a 'conflict of interest' because he is an ex employee of Farrelli who was willing to do the repairs for a fraction of the price that Farrelli was asking!

She then went on to offer to have the property repaired for half of what our guy was charging us! Farrelli was asking for R18,996,85 (picture of quote attached) I paid R6000! to our guy for all the repairs. She asked me to cancel our guy and Farrelli would carry out the repairs. When i told her that I had already paid him for the repairs she promised to call me back after speaking to someone higher that her.( I assume the one with the big ego.) I even went to the extent of clarifying that she would be calling me back In the UK. She agreed and I gave have her my mobile number.I was would have been astounded if she did return my call!

Shame on you Farrelli for your unacceptable unprofessional behaviour. It boggles the mind to think about how many unsuspecting people you have you done this to. This is only one of the platforms that I will be using to expose you.
