Unacceptable Delay and Poor Communication – Car Repair Taking Over a Month for Minor Damage
My vehicle was booked in for repairs on the 4th of June for what was clearly minor damage. It is now the 2nd of July, and my car is still at your workshop with no clear or consistent update on when it will be returned.
All required parts were approved by my insurance while the car was in the stripping department — there were no delays on their end. However, I continue to receive the same vague updates from your team, and the timeline keeps changing without proper explanation.
After several follow-ups last week, I was finally given a completion date of Thursday, 27 June. I even called the day before to confirm the pickup time (I was told 12:30 PM), only to receive a message on Thursday morning that the vehicle had just moved to the Paint Preparation Department.
Today, Monday 2 July, I am now being told that the car has only moved to the Reassembling Department, and a new request has been submitted to my insurer for a hooter replacement. I drove the car after the accident — the hooter was working perfectly!
How is it possible that the car was marked for collection last week without a proper check to confirm whether it's painted or whether the hooter is working? These kinds of inconsistencies reflect poor quality control and lack of urgency.
This ongoing delay is causing extreme inconvenience, especially during winter when it is cold, wet, and dark — not to mention the additional transport costs I’ve had to cover for over a month, now entering a second month.
I am beyond frustrated. I need clear answers and a firm, final collection date. This is unacceptable service and must be addressed immediately.
I just want my car back!
Kindest Regards,
